Happy Diwali/Salmubarak to everyone

Diwali = Indian version of Christmas… There is no Christ, but its a festival of lights… just like how they have the Jewish Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.
I sent many wishes… most via Internet (E-cards, Instant Messages, blog rolls, posts, e-mails), some via voice (phone) and some in person. Random non-Indian acquaintance’s of mine wished me back… which was delightful.
None of my coworkers said anything though… not even the Indian ones. Two of them have ben missing all week though - I wonder if they are taking their holiday vacation now… and still get more for Christmas?
Internet Explorer 7.0 and Firefox 2
This thing rocks… Its definetly making me twitch everytime I launch Firefox. I had tons of issues with IE6 and so Firefox was there to save me. At work, I became highly dependeble on Firefox’s ability to quickly switch between tabs (and the new plugin that was doing ’smart switching between tabs)… but then, rudementary 3rdparty software updates crumbled my Firefox when it would reach 300+ mb in Ram.
Currently, I’ll have to wait out on fully migrating to IE7 @ work b/c I cant run the application on 7. I dont understand why certain Java elements wont function properly in 7. Maybe its a java error, maybe its an IE thing. Not sure.
So for FireFox 2.0…. same story. nice bells and whistles… but no champage. It kept crashing on popups, new tabs, killed my Java app… had to uninstall 7.0 and 2.0 - found an older firefox 1.5 from oldversion.com - thank God. No more software upgrades.
